Eli turns 3!

I just can not believe that my baby turned 3 today.  And I also can not believe he will be starting preschool in a couple weeks either.  I know HE  is ready and I thought I was to but the closer it gets I am not so sure.

We celebrated his birthday yesterday with a sport theme party.  Some may say having a party for a little one is somewhat silly... but we have had one every year for Eli.  If we were around family we would of coarse celebrate with them but we are not so I try to make sure to have the people who love him and who he loves around him for his birthdays.  This year he even invited a few of his toddler friends, which was so cute.  I just want to thank everyone who attended.  I know he had a great time... he fell asleep on the way home and didn't wake up until the morning (well 4am but it was morning).

Here are a few photos of his party along with his friends.

His ball cupcakes were a family event... Daddy decorated the soccer balls, I decorated the baseball & basketballs along with some help from his sister Eden.

I actually bought these bags after Easter... they are Easter baskets.  I bought them for 30 cents a piece...  a fun decoration...

Eli getting ready to blow out is candle as we all sang Happy Birthday to him... he didn't know what to think of the singing:)

and this is Miss Debbie.... her and her husband Sal are Eli & Eden's adopted Grandparents (although they are not called that :)  We are so blessed to have them as a part of our lives.  They truly love our children & our children love them right back.  I thank God for placing them in our lives.

It was a great day!  We are so blessed to have Elijah Keith Baker in our lives.  He has brought me so much joy, he brings joy to everyone he comes into contact with.  He is truly a GIFT FROM GOD.  I am so blessed to be able to call him my boy.  I love you Eli!!! Hope you had a great birthday.. don't grow up to fast ... Love you- Mom

The BIG News...

I just spoke with Tina on the phone and started to cry... we knew this day was coming but that didn't make it any easier.    This is exciting... a little scary... knowing I can turn to her for advice is such a blessing and a relief. And knowing God is in Control makes it that much easier.  I am officially Jodi Baker Photography. Here is what she put on her blog.

We love you, Jodi Baker!

Today is a WONDERFUL, yet SAD day!

1 year ago, I decided to add another photographer to Tina Wrona Photography. It was a decision that has BLESSED me beyond belief! Not only is Jodi Baker an AMAZING photographer, but she is also an INCREDIBLE friend!

As many of you know, my family is in the process of adopting an 11 year old girl, Alexis. We are THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF + so overjoyed by this new + exciting time in our lives. But during this wonderful new time for our family, I have been scheduling fewer photo shoots + focusing more on my family.

Because of this, I have encouraged Jodi to branch off + to begin her own photography business. I am THRILLED for her + I would love to have clients from TWP to now go to Jodi Baker Photography for photos! (I am still doing some shoots, but much fewer than in the past.)

And, rest assured, Jodi + I will still work together often. She is on my calendar for many upcoming weddings, + I will continue to book weddings with her. She is AMAZING!

I am sad at the thought of not working with Jodi on a more regular basis (because her friendship to me is HUGE in my life), but I know that we will probably continue to talk shop often + work together whenever possible.

Jodi, THANK YOU for all your love + understanding + your giving heart!  I love you, girl + I am so PROUD of you!

Here is Jodi's touching good-bye in her own words...

"OK... it has been a while since I have posted anything which some may have noticed. It isn't that I have not been photographing anyone.. I have just been working on my new adventure."

"With Tina slowing down some to focus on her AWESOME (NEW) FAMILY, she thought it was time for me to go out from under her wings and fly on my own. Believe me.. when she mentioned that to me the first time, I didn't want to. I LOVE working with Tina.. she has been such a HUGE blessing to me (that rolls down to my family). I could have never gotten to where I am now without her. So... after a lot of convincing... I am going out on my own. Jodi Baker Photography has now been established. A wise person once told me use my name when I go out on my own, that way when people see the photos they will recognize your name with the photo. When I did agree to go out on my own I made her promise to let me still work with her when she needs an extra camera. So really, I will always be Tina Wrona Photography's Company Photographer :) For those who I have been blessed to photograph through TWP, I hope you allow me to continue to capture your moments for you in the future." "Thank you Tina for everything.. there are no words to express but I hope you know that I love you and your family and I am SO blessed to call you my friend!"

Love my new lens...

I just bought a 35mm 1.8 lens for my camera and I love it.  It took me forever to decide which one I wanted.  I went between the 50mm and the 85mm which would have been a fortune I didn't have at the moment.  So after reading many reviews (which everyone has a different opionion) a new friend of mine said to buy the 35 mm so I did.

Girls night out...

God has blessed me with wonderful friends.  About once a month 5 of us get together and go out for dinner, usually at Bonefish.  We enjoy a wonderful meal, served to us, eaten hot, and great conversation.  We just catch up on each others lives and what is new etc.  Although we enjoy the time away from our children, we usually end up talking about them before we are done. :)  It was a great evening, as always, except for one sad detail.  One of our friends is moving to a new city.  We knew it was coming but they sold their house (which is good but sad also) this week so it makes it final.  But we have decided that we will just have to move our nights out to her new city.  There are more restaurants to choose from, a mall and yes... A SUPER TARGET.  We are all excited for her about that ( and a little envious :).

It is important for us to be able to spend this time together... even if it is a few hours set a side a month.  God has placed our friends in our lives for reasons... we need to stay connected.  So thank you ladies for your friendships, thank you Dad's for watching the kiddo's , and thank you God for placing us all together.

*A friend loveth at all times.*
~Proverbs 17:17

The mark of a true friend is that they are there for you whenever you need them, no matter what you do, or where you are. They don't have to agree with what you have done. They love you no matter what, when, where or how! The love of a true friend is seamless, boundless and eternal. You can tell them anything, and you know they will listen and never judge. A friend truly loveth at all times . . .

it's almost done.....:)
